Updated on 14:03 09th April 2020 :
We have a mixed update for you today:
Our factory is now better staffed than it has been in months and manufacturing is proceeding at a good pace. Most of manufacturing and QC process can be finished within 2 to 4 working days.
However, as you may be aware, shipping out of China is currently experiencing delays due to the prioritization of the transportation of medical supplies. We of course, see the importance of this, and are please to share we have also shipped masks in privately and donated these to two local National Health Services points, in Cambridge hospitals and Royston Health Centre.
Meanwhile, we are using a shipping agent to help us identify daily the fastest route to the UK. In most cases, this is helping us reduce the delays from upwards of 10 days to 3-5 days. While this incurs some additional cost, getting your orders to you as soon as possible is one of our top priorities.
Best wishes for the Bank Holiday weekend.

Coronavirus is affecting everyone around the world as well as affecting the day to day running of businesses. Like all other businesses we are making decisions based on the facts we receive on a daily basis. All advice from the government is being assessed and extra measures are in place to ensure the safety of our staff and customers.
While we always aim to maintain our outstanding record for fast and efficient delivery, today it is not sustainable. Because of this, we will now offer 10 working day delivery or our laid-back option for the foreseeable future. Our hope is our faster services will be reintroduced once things settle.
While we understand this may prove frustrating for some, we must protect the safety of our staff, suppliers, delivery partners and customers alike.
We encourage you to follow the governments wishes with social distancing, self-isolation where possible. Continue to look after yourselves, stay connected and stay responsible.

Updated on 11:34 10th Feb 2020 :
Guangdong province’s government have enforced most workplaces to close until Monday 17th February. This will affect all the PCB manufacturers and most of electronics companies in China. At this point, Government will reassess the situation and notify workplaces of any further closures. Unfortunately, this has an effect on your orders. Orders are expected to be delayed a further week at minimum.
Quick-teck have already outsourced some work to another approved factory which will be working to fulfill some PCB jobs on our behalf, during this time we hope our factory will be back to full working force and ready to start manufacture as of 17th February. Until then our staff are preparing the factory to start manufacturing by testing the machinery and deep cleaning all areas. They will be ready to work within one day of the government agreeing to reopen factories in Shenzhen.
Due to transport issues in China, we are uncertain of any expected delivery dates at this time.
We understand this is not the outcome anyone wished for, and thank you for your continued patience. Please get in touch with our UK office if you have any concerns or wish to discuss your order. Our staff in both China and the UK will continue to do everything possible to fulfil your orders while adhering to Government requests and advice.

Updated on 13:50 7th Feb 2020 :

As of Monday 10th February, staff will return to our factory in Shenzhen to start manufacturing. Around 50% - 60% of staff will be returning, this is expected to have a impact on our production line. If you had an open order with us, you will have been advised of any delays which may have been caused. Staff will be completing orders as swiftly as possible while maintaining high standards as we always did.
DHL,TNT and UPS have informed us of their plans to resume normal flights as of Monday but have also warned us that due to previous suspended flights, there could well be delays of much larger shipments coming through. Due to flights and road blocks in China, the orders still have a few challenges to overcome before arriving safely in the UK but we are assured by our couriers that they are doing everything they can. Should there be any change, we will continue to update our website.
We would like to thank all customers for your understanding and patience during this difficult time. We have been reminded daily of how lucky we are to have such amazing customers and staff both in China and the UK.
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We thank you again for your patience during this difficult time.

Updated on 16:15 30th Jan 2020 :

Dear valued Customer,
We have received several enquirers regarding the Coronavirus, and whether this will impact on business operations and timescales, as well as some questions asking if there is any chance of the virus spreading via products shipped from China.
Health and safety of staff and other precautions:
Our factory is based over 1200km away from the city of Wuhan, the area of highest risk. Experts have confirmed that the Coronavirus cannot survive temperatures in excess of 55 degrees for 10 minutes or any lower than 15 degrees for 15 minutes. During manufacturing, temperatures are often up to 85 degrees, and during transit are kept below zero degrees for their 13 hour flight. Every precaution is being taken by all of our staff to keep Health and Safety at the forefront of production and therefore within our China based factory, staff will continue to operate wearing appropriate safety clothing including protective clothing and face masks.
Effect on target dates:
It has been advised by the Chinese Government that workplaces should extend the holiday Chinese holiday period by 7 days to prevent any further spread of the virus. This decision has not been taken lightly, however in accordance with government advice Quick-teck will be closing a large portion of the factory for an additional 7 days after the Chinese holiday period. This decision affects all the factories in China.
The office in the UK is open as normal and limited staff are still available in China during this period. The factory is scheduled to fully re-open on Monday 10th February.
Unfortunately the closures and limited staffing levels, may impact on some current orders target dates.
Orders with a 9 day lead time – may experience some delays. Customers with affected orders will be contacted separately.
Orders with a 12-16 day lead-time – are currently expected to reach the customers by their target date. However we recommend you may want to allow some flexibility in your schedules in case of any further delays of transit issues.
For all new orders:
To be able to deliver to you on time, we are accepting new orders on a 12-16 day lead-time only. This will be for a limited time only, we will keep you updated when the 5-9 day lead-times are re-instated and regular updates are available on our News page. https://www.quick-teck.co.uk/News/Atrcles.php
Our sincere apologies again for any unavoidable delays. We will do our best to get all orders to you as soon as possible.
Please contact us directly if you have any specific concerns.

Kind regards,
Quick-teck Operation Department
